Frenectomy

It involves the removal or modification of the frenulum, a small fold of tissue that connects the lips to the gums or the tongue to the floor of the mouth. Frenectomy is commonly performed to address conditions such as ankyloglossia (tongue-tie) or abnormal frenulum attachments that may impact speech, oral hygiene, or orthodontic treatments.
