Orthognathic Surgery
Orthognathic surgery is a specialized surgical procedure performed in collaboration with orthodontic treatment to correct severe jaw discrepancies that cannot be fully addressed with braces or aligners alone. These discrepancies can result from issues like overbites, underbites, open bites, crossbites, and other skeletal irregularities. Orthognathic surgery aims to reposition the upper jaw (maxilla) and/or lower jaw (mandible) to achieve a harmonious bite, facial balance, and improved oral function.
